Suzanne ‘Zanny’ Jode
I’m a psychotherapist, hypnotherapist, tutor, and volunteer counsellor for Road Victims Trust. My work is rooted in helping people understand themselves more deeply, heal from difficult experiences, and reconnect with who they truly are beneath the noise of life. I specialise in grief and trauma but help with a vast variety of issues.
Alongside my private practice, I teach Year One of the Hypnotherapy and Counselling Diploma for Chrysalis Courses, supporting students as they begin their own journey into therapeutic work.
I’ve always been fascinated by people; by the way we connect, communicate, protect ourselves, and carry our stories in both words and body language. I’m a natural people watcher and deep thinker, which probably explains why I love both therapy and writing… even if being dyslexic makes that relationship an interesting one at times.
I’m an LGBTQ+ ally and a neurodiversity-affirming practitioner, and I aim to create a space where people feel safe to show up exactly as they are, without judgement or expectation.
Alongside my therapeutic training, I have always embraced the old ways and have been practising tarot since I was 13 years old and ritual my whole life. I gently weave together modern therapeutic approaches with spiritual practices when appropriate, believing healing can come through both evidence-based work and meaningful self-connection.
